SCHOOL
St. Mary’s School is a Catholic Institution established and administered by the Catholic Archdiocese of Kolkata. The institution was established in the year 1967, under the rights and power granted to religious and linguistic minorities by the Constitution of India (Act. 29 and 30). The Catholic Archdiocese of Kolkata is the Founder Body of this Institution.
The School is recognized by the Education Department of the Government of West Bengal and is under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (Anglo Indian Board of West Bengal) and affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, Delhi (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate examination Delhi (ISC). The medium of Instruction is English.
The education imparted is characterized by thoroughness, high principles and freedom. While, therefore the prime purpose of the establishment of this Catholic School is the education of Catholic children in Catholic Faith and Principles. Children of other faiths irrespective of caste, creed or community are also accepted here.
As a Catholic School,
