The Catholic Teachers Guild organised a Career Guidance cum Motivational Seminar for the Christian Youth at Don Bosco School, Park Circus, Kolkata, on Saturday, 9th August,2025 from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
The inaugural lamp was lit by Archbishop Thomas D’Souza and other dignitaries, emphasizing and urging the students to explore their abilities and the choices of their education in various fields.
There were nearly 25 schools of Kolkata and outskirts schools of Kolkata with nearly 450 catholic students participated in the seminar. One among them was St. Mary’s School, Ripon Street, Kolkata in which the responsibility was given to Sir Allen Anthony (In charge), assisted by Sir Johnson and Sir Anthony Gomes to lead the students from classes IX to XII to attend the programme with 31 students.
The different paths like law, journalism, hospitality, music, sports, mass media, teaching, banking, call to religious life and so on were highlighted by the resource person and the session also highlighted the needs for scholarship, loans, and government schemes available for the minorities.
