Calcutta Archdiocesan Schools Prize Distribution Ceremony-2025

On Saturday, 23rd August, 2025, St. Mary’s School, Ripon Street, Kolkata, conducted the Calcutta Archdiocesan Prize Distribution Ceremony inviting Eleven (11) schools of the Archdiocesan.

The inaugural lamp was lit at 10.15 am, by Rev. Fr. Lucas D’cruze, the inspector of diocesan school, Rev. Fr. Devraj Fernandes and others followed by a prayer service conducted by Sister Anima Kujur.

After the service, a welcome speech was delivered by Rev. Fr. Devraj Fernandes welcoming all the dignitaries, esteemed guests, teachers, parents, participants, and the awardees. Among the dignitaries were Rev. Fr. Dominic Gomes, chancellor of Kolkata Archdiocesan, Rev. Fr. Moloy D’Costa, and other schools Principals and Sisters.

Fr. Devraj graciously highlighted in his speech congratulating the remarkable performances by the talented students in their Boards results. The recognition was a testimony of their hard work, dedication and perseverance.

The welcome song was led by the senior students of St. Mary’s school, a graceful dance by the students of Meghmala Roy Education Centre and setting a high tone of music and song by the students of St. Anthony’s High School.

The Awards for the ICSE, ISC Toppers and the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education Schools and Higher Secondary and in streamwise in the categories of Science, Commerce and Humanities were given Rev. Fr. Lucas congratulated the students, parents and teachers for their hardwork and dedication and also thanked Fr. Devraj immensely for taking up the challenge and organising the mega event.

Mr. L. Antony was the MC of the entire programme. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms A. Bor followed by St. Mary’s school Anthem.
